PUEBLO, Colo.—Pueblo police are looking for the driver of a truck that was one of two vehicles that struck a 50-year-old pedestrian who later died from her injuries.
Police say Rita Pretiger was crossing a street when she was hit by a Buick and then a white pickup truck. The Buick’s driver stopped but the truck didn’t. Police Sgt. Dan Rutherford says it appears Pretiger died from the injuries she sustained when she was hit by the truck.
Police say witnesses told investigators Pretiger appeared intoxicated when she was crossing the street Tuesday night. A toxicology report is pending.
