GRAND JUNCTION — Mesa County sheriff’s officials say an inmate accused of stabbing his wife to death killed himself in his cell.
Sheriff Stan Hilkey says 25-year-old Octavio Vargas-Herrera hanged himself Thursday night with a sheet off a sprinkler head.
