HOUSTON — Continental and United have settled three lawsuits by shareholders who protested the terms of the deal that would combine the companies into the world’s biggest airline.

The airlines said in regulatory filings Tuesday that the unhappy Continental investors agreed to drop their lawsuits in exchange for the airlines providing more information about negotiations that led to the deal and other details.
