As the BenchWarmers saga continues, it asks the question: Who are the top three players in this legal mess?
KEVIN R. FOOTE
According to documents obtained by the Erie Police Department, Foote is not listed as an owner of the company, but he is a key ingredient in its demise. Foote, 47, was picked up last week by the Colorado Department of Corrections for a parole violation for allegedly flying out of the state on the company jet without prior permission from his parole officer. Foote has a lengthy arrest record in Colorado on suspicion of larceny, theft, fraud and illegal use of credit cards. In 2003, he was sent to prison, where he served three years after pleading guilty to habitual-criminal misdemeanors and felony larceny theft.
CAROLYN CALI
She’s listed as the registered agent for BenchWarmers Tavern and Grill LLC with the Colorado secretary of state. In a Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy petition filed March 12, 2010, she listed her estimated number of creditors at between 50 and 99, with estimated assets of $500,001 to $1 million, and estimated liabilities of $1,000,001 to $10 million.
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court, however, dismissed the case on May 24 for failure to provide a tax return.
MITCHELL RIGHT
Right is listed as one of the co-owners of the LLC in documents obtained by the Erie Police Department.
