Denver police arrested 20-year-old Benjamin Janiciki on Wednesday on suspicion of sexual assault on a child in east Denver.
The assault was reported Tuesday in the 5200 block of Montview Boulevard.
The block includes a church and a preschool, but Denver police were not releasing details of allegations or a booking photograph of Janiciki on Thursday.
“This is an ongoing investigation, and we’re dealing with children,” police spokesman John White explained.
Investigators are trying to determine whether there are more victims, he said.
Janiciki is being held without bond for investigation of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, police said in a statement.
