A 53-year-old Boulder man was seriously injured Saturday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a highway sign.
Donald Kehn was airlifted to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland after the 3 p.m. crash on Colorado 14 near Idlewild.
The Colorado Highway Patrol said Kehn was eastbound when he went into a sharp curve and veered to the right. Kehn’s motorcyle traveled to the right side of the road and rolled onto its right side.
Kehn was ejected and hit a highway directional sign with his left leg, severing a portion of it, troopers said.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected in the crash, which remains under investigation for possible inattentiveness or distraction.
