SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Silver Stars forward Chamique Holdsclaw has a torn right Achilles tendon and will miss the remainder of the WNBA season.

The Silver Stars said Tuesday she is expected to have surgery. Holdsclaw, a six-time all-star, was hurt in Sunday’s loss at Minnesota.

Holdsclaw, 33, wasn’t sure if she’d return next season.

“We’ll see. We’ll definitely see how my rehab goes. I’m not in a rush just to hop back out there; I’m not 23 anymore,” she said.

Also, the Washington Mystics dealt the Silver Stars’ playoff hopes a blow with a 76-66 victory.
