Ingredients
1 16-ounce box whole-wheat pasta, any shape, cooked according to package directions, drained
8 slices American or cheddar cheese or 1/2 slice cheddar and 1/2 slice mozzarella (1 slice total per serving)
8 teaspoons butter or soft margarine (1 teaspoon per serving)
16 teaspoons skim milk (2 teaspoons per serving)
Directions
To make one serving: Place 1 teaspoon butter or margarine in a microwave-safe cup or bowl.
Add 2 teaspoons milk. Place 1 slice cheese over milk. Microwave 20 seconds. Stir cheese mixture to blend. If too thick, add more milk, one teaspoon at a time.
Add 1 cup cooked whole-wheat pasta to each bowl. Stir and serve.
Extra pasta and other ingredients can be stored in the refrigerator up to 5 days until needed to make more servings.
