YarmonyGrass, the curiously named music festival taking place in Bond (a tiny, unincorporated town north of Beaver Creek and Vail), will bring a wealth of jam and rock acts to the stage today through Sunda, such as Railroad Earth, EOTO, Head for the Hills, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Elephant Revival, Bill Nershi & Scott Law with Tao Seeger, the Contribution, Honkytonk Homeslice, Liza Oxnard and many more, in addition to fishing, camping and rafting. Newhoma is another mountain music festival taking place on this crowded late-summer weekend, although with smaller names and a bigger emphasis on stereotypically Colorado pursuits, such as mountain biking, yoga and hiking. The party-friendly bands scheduled to perform at the 6,000-acre Big Spring Ranch ranch near Florissant today through Sunday include Surprise Me Mr. Davis, Outformation, Grayson Capps, Sex Mob, Dyrty Byrds and several locals (Oakhurst, Paper Bird, Jen Korte and the Loss, Bad Weather California and others). Visit for the complete lists of artists. $39-$109.
