The Colorado Mammoth traded its third-round selection in the 2011 NLL draft to the Washington Stealth for defenseman/transition player Matt Zash, who was just acquired by the Stealth in the dispersal draft of Orlando Titans players.

Zash, 26, spent three seasons with Orlando. He was a member of the U.S. team that won the world championships in England earlier this summer. The Mammoth also re-signed transition player Brad Richardson and signed free-agent forward Connor Martin.

Fort Lewis is No. 1 in men’s RMAC soccer poll.

Defending national champion Fort Lewis is the choice to repeat as Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s champion in the league’s annual preseason soccer poll. The Skyhawks, ranked No. 1 in the nation, received eight of nine first-place votes. Colorado Mines, ranked No. 18, received the other first-place vote and is tabbed for second place.

The Mines women’s team is ranked No. 7 in the country — but the RMAC poll has them tabbed only for fourth place. Unranked Fort Lewis is the choice to finish first. Metro State, ranked No. 10, was expected to finish second, followed by Regis.
