Discover how it feels to drive on ice, take a ride in a rollover simulator, get free windshield chip repairs and learn how to install a child’s car seat at the Car Care Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hosted by the E-470 Public Highway Authority and E-470 Transportation Safety Foundation, the fair is free and will feature distracted-driving education, face painting, a toddler driving course and a display of fire engines, military vehicles, and antique and hot-rod cars. Wednesday. Here’s your chance to explore the Denver Botanic Gardens’ new Mordecai Children’s Garden as the usual $12.50 entrance fee will be waived all day (9 a.m.-9 p.m.), thanks to funding from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. Children’s activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. include the “Moore in the Gardens” sculpture exhibition. The Water Garden Society will display carnivorous plants from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lobby Court.
