The Colorado State women’s basketball team will play six of its first eight games of the 2010-11 season at Moby Arena, starting with the Nov. 5 opener against Division II Colorado Christian and a Nov. 12 meeting with Northern Iowa. The Rams, who have four returning starters, play their first road game Nov. 18 against Florida State.
CSU plays the University of Denver at Moby Arena on Nov. 23 and meets Colorado in Boulder on Dec. 8.
The Rams’ Mountain West Conference opener is Jan. 5 at Wyoming.
Big Sky salutes UNC duo.
The Big Sky Conference honored two Northern Colorado soccer players.
Danielle Birdsall, a sophomore forward from Broomfield High School, was named the Big Sky offensive player of the week after scoring twice in the Bears’ 2-1 victory over Wyoming in Laramie.
Janelle Kramer, a junior defender from Silver Creek High School, was named defensive player of the week after she helped UNC limit Wyoming and Air Force to one goal and 15 shots. UNC beat Air Force 2-0.
