GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Voters in Mesa County will get to decide the fate of medical marijuana dispensaries in unincorporated parts of the county.
County commissioners voted Monday to put the issue on November’s ballot.
Officials in Larimer County are still weighing whether to ban the businesses. However, they’ve decided not to send the issues to voters.
Colorado Springs officials decided Monday not to put the question to a vote out of fear that a ban would trigger lawsuits.
New state regulations passed this year give municipalities the power to regulate medical marijuana centers or to ban them.
