LITTLETON, Colo.—Authorities in suburban Denver say a shoplifting attempt at a Wal-Mart turned violent after a worker tried to stop the suspects.
The attack happened Aug. 20 at a Wal-Mart in Jefferson County.
Deputies say three men left the store with stolen merchandise in a shopping cart, setting off the store’s alarm. An employee tried to stop them and one of the men hit him on the side of the head, knocking him face-first into the cart. He then landed on the ground.
Two men, including the one accused of hitting the worker, have already been arrested in the case. On Friday, the sheriff’s office released a video of the attack in hopes of finding the third man.
A fourth man not shown on the video is accused of driving their getaway car.
