DUBOIS, Wyo.—A woman who died earlier this week when her SUV rolled down a 400-foot embankment off a Wyoming highway was from Estes Park, Colo.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol identified the woman as 62-year-old Beverly Powell. She died Tuesday when she lost control of her SUV and rolled three and a half times down the steep embankment of US 26 near Dubois in western Wyoming.

The accident happened just past the Togwotee Pass rebuild project on Rosies Ridge in the Wind River Mountains.

Investigators were trying to determine why Powell lost control of her SUV.
