Shorter days are no excuse for skipping a workout now that triathlon legend Scott Molina and endurance coaches Mark Newton and Michael Jacques have collaborated to create “One-Hour Workouts: 50 Swim, Bike and Run Workouts for Busy Athletes” (VeloPress, $25). Each workout is efficient, yet challenging.
The compact book is designed to be “sweat- proof,” so it’s easily stashed in a gym bag or a desk drawer. Workouts are grouped for quick reference with coaching tips to develop good form and modify workouts throughout the season to match an athlete’s current fitness. Ten bonus workouts also are included.
