The Colorado Springs Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a teenage suspect in a fatal shooting.

Isaiah Goss was shot on June 20 at the Camelot Apartment complex and died the following day, according to a police department media release.

Leonel Hernandez, 17, is suspected of “first-degree murder,” police said, and an arrest warrant has been issued in the case.

The El Paso County District Attorney’s Office filed charges today against Hernandez as an adult. His whereabouts are unknown.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, 5-feet 9-inches tall and 145 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Hernandez’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 719 444-7000 or the Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers at 719 634-STOP (7867).

Tipsters can remain anonymous and receive a cash reward for information leading to an arrest or conviction.
