Getting your player ready...

Steelers safety Troy Polamalu is used to covering split ends. Now, Head & Shoulders has an insurance policy in case he gets them.

OK, we don’t actually know what the coverage entails, but the shampoo brand endorsed by Polamalu — who, as you can see at left, has a lot to deal with, hairwise — has taken out a $1 million insurance policy on the five-time Pro Bowl player.

The Associated Press reported that the insurance was obtained through Lloyd’s of London, which did not reveal what must be done to Polamalu’s hair for anyone to collect on the policy.

We could guess, but those in the legal system would consider that to be hairsay.
