The American Humane Association, an Arapahoe County- based advocate for the protection of children and animals, announced Tuesday that philanthropy executive Robin Ganzert was named president and chief executive, effective Oct. 1.
Ganzert serves as deputy director of philanthropic services at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, D.C.
Ganzert replaces interim president and CEO George C. Casey, who has guided the organization since Marie Belew Wheatley left in January.
