Suburban Home Records, like any label still left standing, has survived a lot of challenges — none more daunting than the digital revolution of recent years. But the 15-year-old Denver-based label and distributor, which has lately focused on the growing vinyl market, will celebrate its resilience this weekend with performances from Drag the River (full band), Tim Barry, Two Cow Garage, the Gamits, Jon Snodgrass and others at 3 Kings Tavern, in addition to picnics, brewery tours, films and more. Visit or for details.
Efkerklang is beloved by critics and bloggers, but the 10-year-old Danish act is criminally unknown to larger audiences. That’s a shame, since the group’s rolling, melodic, rhythmically complex compositions would fit nicely next to Grizzly Bear, Menomena and other acclaimed indie acts on an iTunes playlist. The band is supporting its first 4AD release, February’s slick, sublime “Magic Chairs,” on a tour that brings it by South Broadway’s Hi-Dive on Monday with openers Buke & Gass and Jay J Matott. $8-$10.
