AURORA — A possible pipe bomb was found about 4 p.m. Sunday in the Tollgate Crossing neighborhood near the Aurora Reservoir.
Aurora police Detective Bob Friel says the possible explosive device was found by a person in the intersection of East Belleview Avenue and South De Gaulle Street. The roads were closed until the Arapahoe County Bomb Squad resolves the situation.
Friel says residents in the area were told to go to a safe place in their homes, such as a basement, until the device has been removed.
