Highlands Ranch star Eleanor Fulton posted the fastest girls time of the day, winning the Division 2 cross country race in 17 minutes, 34 seconds. Middle Park’s Samantha Berggren was the only other in-state winner. She captured the Division 4 race.

In softball, Rocky Mountain’s Bri VanSickle pitched a two-hit shutout against Monarch on Friday and recorded 17 strikeouts in a 9-0 victory for the Lobos.
Wild pitch:
Trailing 1-0 after a half Saturday, Adams City used goals by Jonathan Roman and Jose Flores to defeat annual challenger Rangeview 2-1 in boys soccer. Rangeview fell to 3-1.
