A man suspected in two recent Denver bank robberies is being called “The Palpatine Perp” by the FBI because of resemblance to the “Star Wars” character.

The same man held up the Chase Bank at 1600 California St. on Tuesday and the Bank of the West at 621 17th St. on Aug. 30, the FBI said today.

He is described as a white, 25 to 45 years old, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, about 160 to 180 pounds with blond hair.

Anyone with information can call the FBI at 303-629-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

There is a $2,000 reward.

In the movie series, Palpatine is emperor of the Galactic Empire.
