Get an advance copy of “Shinin’ Times at The Fort,” Holly Arnold Kinney’s forthcoming cookbook, when the Mountains & Plains Independent Booksellers Association hosts an author banquet fundraiser for its literacy fund at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Marriott Denver Tech Center, 4900 S. Syracuse St., (Belleview exit off I-25). Tickets for the dinner are $60 per person or $100 per couple. Authors include Ian Frazier, Nevada Barr, Connie Willis and master of ceremonies Margaret Cole.
