STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — If Craig Horlacher were in elementary school, his essay “What I did this summer” would earn him an A-plus.
After spending more than a month in St. Anthony Central Hospital, he has a lot to say about a summer fishing trip that nearly took his life.
Horlacher is a geologist who has found himself in precarious situations, but nothing quite like what he got himself into in early August in the Little Snake River about 50 miles north of Steamboat Springs.
