HAYDEN, Colo.—Firefighters will be working over the weekend to finish containment on a wildfire burning southwest of Steamboat Springs on Routt National Forest land.

The fire was reported Tuesday and has burned about 53 acres, or less than a square mile. The U.S. Forest Service says some firefighters have been relieved of their duties and most of the fire suppression if completed but full containment is not expected until Monday.

Officials believe the fire was started by lightning.
