A man suspected of shooting his brother-in-law Wednesday in Aurora, shot himself Friday as police and SWAT teams closed in on his hotel room in Black Hawk.
Isaac Martinez, 31, was in the hospital in critical condition Saturday.
Martinez was wanted in connection with the wounding of his brother-in-law, Andre Lopez-Baker, 28, in the 1150 block of South Fairplay Circle, according to Aurora police.
Lopez-Baker also was in a hospital Saturday in critical condition.
During the investigation, police found that Martinez was also suspected of three other incidents in the recent weeks, including an armed bank robbery and a felony menacing at a restaurant. Martinez also had a warrant for his arrest from a home-invasion robbery that occurred Sept. 9 in Aurora.
Black Hawk and Gilpin County SWAT responded to the hotel when investigators found out that Martinez was staying there, but as they entered the hotel room, Martinez shot himself.
