The temperature at Denver International Airport peaked at 90 degrees Sunday, tying the record for the date set in 1892.
So far, this month has been Denver’s ninth-warmest September, with an average daily temperature of 66.8 degrees, 9News reported. The average daily temperature is the day’s high added to the day’s low, divided by two.
The dry weather pattern is expected to continue into the first full week of fall. Today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, light winds and above- average highs in the upper 80s.
