Boulder police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a sex assault suspect.

The attack happened at about 2 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, near 17th Street and Broadway, according to a Boulder Police Department media release.

A 19-year-old woman was walking near the intersection when she was attacked by a man on the University Hill Elementary School grounds, police said.

The assailant is described as a college-aged man, possibly of Middle Eastern descent with a pronounced nose, dark spiked hair, dark eyes, and no facial hair.

Anyone with information on the attack is asked to call Det. Kurt Foster at 303 441-4329. Tipsters can remain anonymous by contacting Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-TIPS (8477) or 1 800-444-3776. Leads can also be submitted to the Crime Stoppers website at .
