DENVER—It’s happened again.
Denver set another temperature record for the month when Denver International Airport hit a high of 92 degrees Tuesday. The previous high for Sept. 28 was 89 degrees, last reached in 1994.
Denver also reached record temperatures on Sept. 19 and Sept. 20, and it tied a temperature record Sunday.
Colorado Springs also set a record Tuesday with 87 degrees, beating the previous high of 85 degrees for the date. Fort Collins reported a record high of 90 degrees.
National Weather Service meteorologist Jim Kalina says highs in the 90s aren’t all that unusual for Colorado. He expects high temperatures to fall back to the 80s Wednesday.
