NEW YORK — Faisal Shahzad told prosecutors he would have detonated a second bomb two weeks later if he had not been caught in his failed May 1 attempt to blow up a bomb-laden vehicle in New York’s busy Times Square, according to documents filed Wednesday in New York federal court.

In interviews with federal investigators, Shahzad claimed he would have continued his attacks “until he was killed or captured.”
