One of the men accusing megachurch Bishop Eddie Long of sexual misconduct is a Colorado Springs resident, according to the lawsuit the 23-year-old filed last week in Georgia.
Jamal Parris alleges Long coerced him into sexual acts a few years after he started attending New Birth Missionary Baptist in Atlanta in 2001 with his mother. The suit says other leaders in the church were aware of Long’s sexual interest in male teenagers but did nothing to stop him.
The civil suits against Long and his 24,000-member church were filed by Parris and three other young men — Maurice Robinson, Anthony Flagg and Spencer LeGrande.
Long has denied the allegations.
