A former Denver man has been indicted by the federal grand jury in Denver for the sex trafficking of children and transporting adults across state lines to engage in prostitution.

Timothy Wayne Lee, 44, is currently being held in New Mexico on state charges, according to a media release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Denver.

He is expected to be transferred to Colorado to face the charges.

In several of the cases, Lee is accused of moving minors from Colorado to California and Utah to engage in prostitution.

In five of the counts, he is accused of moving adults from Colorado to California and Utah to engage in prostitution.

In another count, Lee is accused of enticing a minor to pose for sexually explicit photographs. He is also accused of possessing child pornography on his computer.

The alleged activities occurred between 2003 and 2009, according to the grand jury.

Conviction of the crimes can carry maximum sentences of 40 years in prison and fines of $250,000.
