Getting your player ready...

Tired of attack ads that tell you what’s wrong with politicians but say nothing about what their opponents stand for? Have you read or watched a story only to be left wanting to follow up? Do you wonder what these people are really like?

Here is your chance to ask questions of candidates for governor and U.S. Senate.

We’re looking for your question — both personal and political — to pose to candidates at upcoming debates sponsored by 9News, The Denver Post and the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs.

Questions should be crafted so that they can be asked of all major-party candidates. We will take probing questions that require thoughtful responses and pointed queries that simply require a one-word answer.

To submit a question, put “Debate questions” in the subject line of an e-mail, include your name, hometown and contact information in the body, and send it to: newsroom@denverpost .

We will review reader-submitted questions next week and invite some of you to deliver them in person in the U.S. Senate debate Oct. 11 or the gubernatorial debate Oct. 13. Both debates will be televised live.
