Who’s hot: Punter Pete Kontodiakos kept the ball away from TCU threat Jeremy Kerley, finishing with a 49.8-yard average and good hang time.

Who’s not: The running game continues to struggle with only one 100-yard game. With top rusher Raymond Carter out with a knee injury, competition reopens this week for the starting position.

Key stat: CSU has been outscored 81-20 in the first half this season.

FYI: AFA is the third ranked opponent to face CSU in the first six games. (Nevada moved into the top 25 after playing CSU). One more is left after Saturday (at No. 10 Utah on Oct. 23). . . . CSU had been fairly healthy thus far, but could be without Carter (knee) and long snapper Scott Albritton (knee). . . . The offensive line has been revamped in each of the last two weeks. . . . CSU’s last win in the series was in 2005 at home. The Rams haven’t won at the academy since 2002.
