A 27-year-old suspected of bank robbery was arrested by Boulder police late Tuesday at a Dungeons and Dragons event in Boulder.
Aaron Klug was arrested in connection with the June 29 robbery of the U.S. Bank in Longmont.
Cmdr. Tim Lewis of the Longmont Police Department said police investigator Beth Buchholz, who keeps track of pawn-shop activities in the Longmont area, had noted that Klug was selling car stereos and Global Positioning System units.
Buchholz believed Klug may have been involved in a series of vehicle break-ins in the city and began investigating him, Lewis said. Detectives found out Klug was to attend the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing-game event in Boulder on Tuesday, Lewis said. Boulder police set up surveillance in the area and arrested him about 5 p.m.
