GREEN RIVER, Wyo.—The Sweetwater County Attorney’s Office is dropping criminal charges it had filed against two men in connection with the 2006 slaying of a Colorado man.
Twenty-nine-year-old victim Benjamin Bradley of Tabernash, Colo. disappeared in June 2006. His body was found months later north of Rock Springs.
The Casper Star-Tribune is reporting that Sweetwater County Attorney Brett Johnson announced Wednesday that office has asked to drop all charges against two men who had been accused in the case.
Eric John Conn had been charged with murder in Bradley’s death. Tommy Joe Bowman was charged with being an accessory after the fact in the death and giving false statements to authorities.
Johnson says doubts have emerged about Conn’s statements to law enforcement.
