Five men and a juvenile have been arrested in connection to a home invasion in Larimer County on Tuesday in which suspects entered a residence with handguns and a machete.

The home invasion was reported late Tuesday night on the 4200 Block of County Road 54 G in Laporte. The homeowner was able to escape, and no injuries were reported, according to a press release from Larimer County Sheriff’s office.

The victim reported to police that the motivation for the home invasion was an argument between another occupant of the residence and a former boyfriend.

The suspects’ car was later located in the 400 block of Clover Lane.

Deputies and Fort Collins Police officers placed the area on surveillance, and made a traffic stop of the vehicle once it was seen leaving the residence.

Interviews with the people in the vehicle enabled police to obtain a search warrrant for the house on Clover Lane.

Fort Collins SWAT team executed the search warrant, and five men and a 17-year-old were arrested Wednesday morning, said John Schulz, a spokesman with the Larimer County Sheriff’s office.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s office today identified the suspects, who are all in custody at the Larimer County Detention Center.

The men are, Brian Lee Boggs, 33; Hank Edward Smith II, 28; Robert Daniel Coldiron, 22; Zachary Michael Watkins, 22; Kyle Daniel Bierman, 18.

The men were charged with first degree burglary, and felony menacing.

The case will be turned over to the Larimer Conty district attorney for review on Tuesday.
