FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Darrelle Revis wants to play. He hopes his balky left hamstring allows him.

The Jets cornerback said it’s his “best bet” to wait until Sunday or Monday before deciding for sure whether he can play against Randy Moss and the Vikings on Monday night. His hamstring certainly had him feeling optimistic Friday.

“I think I could play right now,” Revis said. “There’d be no doubt.”

Coach Rex Ryan said Revis hadn’t told him that he’s 100 percent yet, adding that the all-pro cornerback will make the final call.

“As of right now,” Revis said, “I’m preparing myself to battle against the Minnesota Vikings.”

Former 49ers back arrested

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Former 49ers running back Glen Coffee was arrested on a gun charge Thursday night.

A cocked pistol was found in the center console. Coffee left the 49ers in August, saying he wanted to focus on ministry.
