GREELEY, Colo.—Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is in Greeley promoting his former employee, Rep. Betsy Markey.
Salazar is rallying Democrats to support the Markey’s re-election. Markey was a district representative for Salazar when the cabinet member was a U.S. senator.
Salazar visited the same Greeley park two years ago to campaign for Markey before she unseated three-term Republican Rep. Marilyn Musgrave. Markey faces a challenging re-election, though, with a district that leans Republican and a year in which incumbents are vulnerable.
Ken Salazar has come home to campaign for fellow Democrats already this year. He stopped by a rally for his successor, Sen. Michael Bennet, in August.
