It’s rainy and gloomy today, but the forecast calls for warmer temperatures and clearing skies, just in time for the boys state high school tennis tournaments.
The Class 5A tournament — which could develop into a showdown between Regis Jesuit and perennial powerhouse Cherry Creek — opens Thursday at Gate’s Tennis Center in Denver. The finals are scheduled for Saturday.
The Class 4A tournament runs Thursday through Saturday at Pueblo’s City Park.
The Colorado High School Activities Association released the state tennis pairings on Monday.
