NEWARK, N.J — The Avalanche will face a legend tonight in New Jersey.

The NHL’s all-time wins leader, Martin Brodeur, will start in net for the New Jersey Devils against the Avs tonight at the Prudential Center.

Brodeur has 603 career wins, but is off to a slow start this season at age 38. However, he is coming off a 1-0 overtime shutout over the Buffalo Sabres Wednesday night.

He will be opposed in goal by Craig Anderson, who is 1-1-0. Anderson’s last start, Monday in Philadelphia, resulted in a 4-2 Flyers victory.

The Avs will ice the same lineup they had in Tuesday’s 5-4 shootout victory at Detroit. Jonas Holos and Kevin Porter will be the healthy scratches for Colorado.
