Kyle Kinane is returning to Denver to headline Comedy Works South today and Saturday after stopping by the Orange Cat in July for the final Los Comicos Super Hilariosos. The L.A. comedian has lately opened for such biggies as Patton Oswalt and developed his own loyal following with his deceptively simple, gravel-voiced observations. ($20, comedyworks). Interpol landed back at respected indie label Matador for its fourth album, a self-titled affair that finds the band in fine (if typically dour) shape but down a member: the iconic but apparently unhappy bassist Carlos D., who left shortly after the record was finished. The New York post-punk act, currently touring with replacement bassist David Pajo (Slint, Tortoise) and keyboardist Brandon Curtis (Secret Machines) plays Monday at the Ogden Theatre with White Rabbits ($32.50-$35, Ticketmaster).
