According to , first-year Colorado women’s basketball coach Linda Lappe received her second oral commitment for the current recruiting cycle on Thursday: 6-foot-1 wing forward Jasmine Sborov of Round Rock (Texas) High School near Austin.
Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil, coach of Sborov’s AAU team, told ESPN that the new CU pledge has a “multidimensional” game. “She has a nice midrange, pull-up shot. And her jumping ability is way above average,” Davis-Wrightsil said.
In August, CU received an oral commitment from 5-11 guard Alexis Kresl of Shadow Mountain High School in suburban Phoenix.
Mountaineer wrestlers No. 6.
The NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association put Western State at No. 6 in its annual preseason poll. The Mountaineers finished 10th in last spring’s NCAA Championships.
Adams State, which finished 13th last spring, is ranked 19th. Colorado State-Pueblo received votes in the poll, but not enough to crack the top 20. The coaches picked defending champion Nebraska-Omaha to repeat.
