COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Some prominent Colorado Republicans are rallying for American Constitution Party gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo.
The Republican lawmakers are supporting Tancredo over embattled GOP candidate Dan Maes and will be in Colorado Springs Saturday afternoon to encourage people to vote for Tancredo.
Most of the Colorado GOP establishment has abandoned Maes.
Republicans rallying with Tancredo in Colorado Springs include Congressman Doug Lamborn, and state lawmakers Keith King, Bill Cadman and Kent Lambert.
Tancredo was a Republican congressman who switched parties to run for governor. He is in a three-way race with Democrat John Hickenlooper and Maes.
