A body was found this morning in a ravine off of U.S. Highway 36 in Larimer County near the Boulder County line.
Larimer County Sheriff’s officers responded to the area at about 11 a.m. today after reports of “something laying in a ravine off the road,” according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
When officers arrived they discovered the body. The body’s gender was not immediately determined, the release said.
The sheriff’s office does not believe this body pertains to any previous open investigation.
The Larimer County coroner’s office will do an autopsy and will determine the identification of the body and the cause of death.
