A badly decomposed body found in a ravine off U.S. 36 between Lyons and Estes Park is that of Fort Collins psychic Kathy Adams, who had been missing since Oct. 12.
Authorities are still looking for her common-law husband of 20 years, John Marks Jr.
Adams, 57, died of “blunt force injuries,” according to a coroner’s report. A Larimer County sheriff’s spokesman said Sunday the body had decomposed to the point investigators were not sure if it was a man or woman before the autopsy.
The search for Adams began after her family asked deputies to check on her two weeks ago, as she was planning to leave Marks, family members have said.
Last week, investigators announced they had found the couple’s abandoned car in Longmont in a hotel parking lot.
Adams worked as a psychic, calling herself Psychic Kay.
Marks, 47, is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Marks’ whereabouts can call 970-416-1985.
