One person was killed and two children were airlifted to The Children’s Hospital in Aurora after a head-on crash in Weld County Monday afternoon, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
No names or the ages and conditions of the children have been released.
The crash, involving a Ford Crown Victoria and a Dodge Neon, happened just after 1:30 p.m. on Colorado Highway 52 near Weld County Road 21 west of Fort Lupton, troopers said.
The highway is closed in both directors for the investigation.
