Adams County voters were split on two education-funding measures Tuesday, with one narrowly leading and another losing badly.
With about half the votes cast, District 27J’s mill levy was headed to defeat, with approximately 60 percent of residents voting no. A bond measure proposed by Mapleton Public Schools, however, appeared headed to passage, with 55 percent in favor.
Sheriff Douglas Darr, seeking his third term, was poised for victory.
