A 16-year-old ThunderRidge High School student died Tuesday of injuries sustained during a rollover accident Monday night in Highlands Ranch.

He has not been named. Three other teenagers in the car were released from hospitals Tuesday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

The four — two 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds — attended three different schools, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Cocha Heyden.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the car rolled twice after it ran off Highlands Ranch Parkway at Venneford Ranch Road about 7:40 p.m.

The cause is under investigation.
